WORLD OCEANS DAY๐ŸŒ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ

Today Tuesday 8th June 2021 is World Oceans Day. In 1992 in Canada the United Nations came together and knew by forming a collaboration between countries to put in place what was needed to raise awareness to protect and inspire people and countries to look after our blue planet. The oceans cover just over 70 percent of the planets surface, they regulate climate, provide food entertainment but it is still the most under protected and massively over exploited part of our planet.

The ocean is the largest habitat on the planet and its were most of the planets illegal, destructive activities take place. There are many wonderful and strange creatures that call the ocean their home. Water creatures, wildlife donโ€™t know of boundaries they know itโ€™s their home, weโ€™re they need to be and when. Many animals travel around the ocean in search of food, place to rest and a place to give birth, an example of the humpback whale. She will navigate the globe and from the cold waters of the Antarctic Ocean she will fill herself up on krill, then travel to the tropical waters of Hawaii to give birth. These majestic mammals were nearly wiped out during whaling but are now doing well and are rebounding back.

Many animals use the earths magnetic field, moon and stars to navigate and find were they need to go, I find this quite incredible and shows how intelligent these animals are considering without GPS and maps we have no idea weโ€™re we are going.

Water is worth more than gold no water no life, nothing much can thrive without it, weโ€™re there is water there will be life. To protect the ocean means protecting ourselves but itโ€™s a home to many and they deserve the protection also. Humans are capable of so much good yet we still feed a need and desire to always want more, whatever we are looking for weโ€™re looking for more.

To me the ocean means LIFE, itโ€™s weโ€™re it all started and itโ€™s not difficult to understand this because every second breath we breathe comes from the salty stuff, she gives us everything we need and itโ€™s in everyoneโ€™s interest if you live near the beach or a hundred miles from the beach it touches you even if you donโ€™t know it.

A message is to understand the ocean and give thanks to what it provides, be a blue heart and inspire everyone around you. HAPPY WORLD OCEANS DAY ๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŒ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿฆˆ
